Where I Create....

Karen at My Desert Cottage is hosting a party today! The theme is "Where Women Create." I visited Karen's blog this morning and her studio is a absolutely amazing! It's a work of art! I am a guest at Karen's party. So, I have agreed to post a photo of my humble creative space. Well, the place where I go is actually down in my basement. It is a place where I can invite my friends to play, laugh and create our treasures.

Where I Blog

My art work is sometimes created on this desk, and sometimes I knit on my back porch, and sometimes I create in my office. I can't seem to stay in one place. Now, the art supplies are stored (using that word loosely) in plastic drawers in my "art room" as I call it. Sometimes when the weather turns cooler, I can't work in the basement because I get too cold, and I start something upstairs in my office. And, other times I work at the dining room table. I wish I could be more disciplined and stay just in one place only because I make a mess all over the house.

I loved participating in this event. Because I am out of town still, I am trying to post from the upper peninsula of Michigan. Finding high speed internet is a challenge, and working from a lap top is not familiar to me. I am hoping that this may become an annual event so we all can show how our rooms evolve and improve. Thanks for inviting me, Karen, to share.

Love your beautiful creating space! (Oh yes, the computers are very slow in the UP! I grew up there and it's still very isolated, at least in regard to trying to post!) Thanks for sharing! I'm really loving this event...come visit me too!

Well Nancy I just hate it and think I had better come over again and help you by taking some of that home with me. Yeah, right...okay then, you know I love your space and have envied it for some time now. Even though you are in a basement yours doesn't feel like it. It is a sanctuary with lots of room to create.

Oh, I love that wall..it is so neat and organized..everything fits perfect!! I love how some people (not I) can make everything so fluid and clutter(less)...I have so much stuff that I think I NEED to see that my studio always is busting at the seams...maybe because I'm a fabric junkie..I need to see stacks of it everywhere! :0)

Please drop by to see my "studio in progress" I'm still remodeling our home after moving in almost three months ago..but it's going well. :0)

See ya,
Stephanie

Nancy your studio is wonderful! Thank you for sharing:)

You have inspired me to get on the ball and get mine back into shape! I create and create and leave stuff on my desk and eventually it finds it way home to it's very deserving spot on a shelf or in the closet. AHHHH To dream of a space all my own not shared with the business files and computer or the ironing board or the guys traxxas trucks and their airbrushes and the drop off area for all of the unwanted but seemingly necessary things. MMMMM Someday a space of my own as lovely as yours:)

XXXOOO Have a marvelous weekend!

Nancy,
Yep I am still visiting studios - I know, I know - I'm a little slow but heck I'm pushing 60 and that is hard enough. lol.
Your studio is so great - all that organized storage is to die for.
My studio was in the basement till I got fibromyalgia and then it was way to cold for me so we revamped the breezeway into my new studio. and I am still dealing with items stored in both the basement & upstairs. Your clean organized space has inspired me to throw on a couple shirts and some sweats and head downstairs to rearrange and reorganize What I cannot possibly bring upstairs so that at least when I treck down to get something I will be able to find it.
Thank you for the wonder peak at your studio and the inspiration it has given me

Hugs,
Penny
